Review by hotel critic
I recently spent two nights at Hotel Reghina Blue, a modern establishment nestled in a quiet neighbourhood of Timisoara, and while there were a few highlights, the experience also brought to light some areas for improvement, particularly regarding value. The spacious rooms came with delightful balconies, perfect for enjoying a morning cup of tea—conveniently provided via an electric kettle in the room. The free wifi was strong, and the housekeeping kept everything tidy. The outdoor swimming pool was a nice feature, although we visited out of season, making it redundant for us. It does provide a pleasant area to relax in the summer. Dining at the hotel was a mixed bag. The included breakfast had some good options, like cold meats and cheeses, but the hot selections fell short—lukewarm sausages and eggs that looked tired after a hour. Though the hotel isn't in the city centre, a short walk leads you to local restaurants and a large supermarket. While the atmosphere and service were commendable, the balance of luxury and value might not meet everyone's expectations. For those prioritising cost over plushness, it’s certainly worth considering, especially with its appealing facilities.
